North Carolina Fishing Charters aboard The Native Son

Hey Guys

Hey everyone I am going to try and keep this thing going from here on out. There has been some excellent Balckfin tuna fishing this winter. Some days there have been 25 fish to the boat with many being citations. Give us a call and lets get something set up for a trip. I will try to start posting something everyday if I can.

May 10th fishing

We had a great day Saturday with a good catch of dolphin and two wahoo. We ended up with 42 dolphin most of them gaffers and one nice hoo and one regular hoo. Wind has been blowing ever since. Maybe we will get out later this week. I'll try to get back on to getting these reports done every night. We had a little problem getting things to work but we are back up and running now I think.

Boy have I been slack with reports

Sorry that I have been so slack with the fishing reports. I was having some trouble getting things to post for awhile and then just got sidetracked. The wahoo fishing has been as good as I have seen it in many years on a daily basis. We caught seven in the last two hours of fishing on friday out of 12 bites plus a nice gaffer dolphin. Most of us stayed home today because it was blowing 25 but one or two went and had excellent wahoo fishing again all though it was rougher than hell. Maube my uploader will work tomorrow and I can have some pics for you guys.

August 13

We took a make up charter today due to our regular trip having to switch to Wed. It was a beautiful and cool day. Much better than last week. We had a nice catch of bailers and three wahoos.

Aug 16th

We had Doug, his children and his brother, all from Norfolk ,Va. with us today. It was rather choppy this morning with it getting progressively worse as the day wore on. We caught a couple of hoos and a limit of nice bailer's. The kids had a ball with the dolphin and the young one caught a nice wahoo.

Aug 15th

We took our trip from monday today. They could not go on monday because of an illness. The fishing was rather slow for us and many others today with just a few dolphins and wahoos being caught throughout the fleet. Some of the boats up to the east had a better sign of dolphin. Should have been here monday.

Saturday aug 4th

We had a crowd from Stanton, Va. today. The weather was beautiful once again and looks like it will remain that way for a few days. We caught some dolphin and then went and spent some time looking for a marlin to no avail. We caught a few more dolphin on the way home around a patch of grass. Three wahoo bites in the A.M. produced one for us and we also missed a sail. I have alot of open days coming up so give me a call.
